Reversi Machine?
As far as I see it, there are two ways to go about it if you want to enjoy a nice game of Reversi: you can go about it the traditional way, or you can go about it the app way. When I say “the traditional way” I mean you could play the traditional board game with a family member or a friend. You will of course need to have the board game and all the pieces, and you will have to have a family member or friend willing to play against you.
The app way is a lot more fun – at least I think so. When I say “the app way” I obviously mean you should get an app and play Reversi on your iPhone or iPod Touch. The app you should get is the Kiss The Machine-developed an appropriately named Reversi Machine. If you want to play the game on an iPad, you can get Reversi Machine HD.
To my mind, there are some obvious advantages to playing Reversi Machine on your iPhone. The first one is that you don’t have to have the board game and all the pieces. You don’t have to worry about losing the pieces either (that happens in my house no matter what board game we have). Whenever you want to play a game of Reversi, everything you need is right there on your iPhone.
Another advantage is that you don’t have to go to your brother or to a friend and go “wanna play a game of Reversi with me?”. You don’t have to depend on others to enjoy a nice game of Reversi. You can play against the properly good AI of the game. You won’t be disappointed. This is not to say that you couldn’t play Reversi Machine with your brother or a friend. The game has a two player mode as well, so you can always do that. So if a human opponent does not want to play, play against the AI. If you have another player to play with, play in two player mode.
There is no doubt about it, Reversi Machine is a properly good alternative to the classic Reversi board game. It has nice graphics, challenging AI opponents, and offers tons of fun!
